Finding splendid parcels (wide, with breath-taking view, without nearby dwellings, well oriented) in enchanted locations on which it is possible to develop green buildings, with manic attention to the quality of materials, the building technique and energy saving. I wish to offer at fair prices houses that can be small works of art to regenerate away from the chaos of a world which reportedly will be inhabited by approximately eight billion people in 2025 and nine in 2040.
Many contractors claim that they use high-quality materials, but they don’t; they talk about parquet flooring but they use prefinished plywood; they use poor materials for insulation (as long as they insulate!!); in bathrooms they use porcelain stoneware or tiles and not high-quality stones; on the contrary, for each house I will attach a datasheet of the product used; I would only like to make an example: in the project of the Folegandros villa I will use a classic brushed Roman travertine (maybe one of the more precious materials for floors/covers) two centimetre thick because it is the thickness that is better matched with the brushing technique; even the bases of the house will be made of travertine in matching colour with floors; the walls of the bathrooms will also be covered in this high-quality material; many other high-quality materials will also be used and much attention will be paid to details.
